Director Agriculture Kashmir reviews progress under HADP, CAPEX, CSS schemes

Meeting focused on physical, financial achievements, prompt utilization of funds, transparency in expenditures

SRINAGAR: Director of Agriculture Kashmir, Chawdhry Mohammad Iqbal on Tuesday held a comprehensive meeting with joint directors, provincial heads, scheme heads, and chief agriculture officers from various districts at the Agriculture Complex in Lalmandi, Srinagar. The meeting focused on reviewing the physical and financial achievements under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP), the Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) plan, and various Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS).
During the meeting, the implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes managed by the Department of Agriculture, including the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY), Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH), Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), National Food Security Mission (NFSM), Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), Soil Health Card Scheme, and Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Scheme, were discussed in detail. The progress of projects under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP) was also thoroughly reviewed.
Addressing the participants, Chawdhry Mohammad Iqbal emphasized the importance of prompt and judicious use of funds allocated for various projects under HADP and CAPEX. He instructed the officers to ensure that funds allocated for different components of centrally sponsored schemes are utilized in a timely manner. He reiterated the need to maintain the highest levels of transparency and accountability in all expenditures.
The Director of Agriculture also directed the concerned officers to engage with farmers across all areas, raising awareness about the HADP and introducing the latest farmer-friendly technologies in the agriculture sector. He urged the officers to work collaboratively with farmer communities to ensure the successful implementation of various schemes at the grassroots level.
Some officers from different districts participated in the meeting through virtual mode, ensuring comprehensive coverage and input from across the region.
