Rohit, Bumrah miss out on Gambhir’s all-time India XI

NEW DELHI: Gautam Gambhir, India’s current head coach, selected his all-time India XI. The team features legendary players such as Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and MS Dhoni, as well as batting superstar Virat Kohli.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma and star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah have been left out of the recent cricket squad despite Bumrah winning the Player of the Tournament in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Their omission comes as a surprise to many cricket enthusiasts and followers, given their recent performances and accolades.

Gautam Gambhir selected his all-time Indian ODI XI, starting with himself and Virender Sehwag. He then picked Rahul Dravid, the former head coach, followed by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. Virat Kohli, who has achieved the milestone of 50 ODI centuries, also found a place in the team.

The middle order was completed by Yuvraj Singh, the ICC World Cup Player of the tournament in 2007 and 2011, and MS Dhoni, the only captain to have won all three ICC white ball tournaments.

For the bowling lineup, Gambhir chose two spinners and two pacers. Anil Kumble and Ravichandran Ashwin were selected as the spinners, while Irfan Pathan and Zaheer Khan were picked as the fast bowlers to round off the team as per Sportskeeda.

The selection highlights a blend of experienced and versatile players who have significantly contributed to Indian cricket.
