SRINAGAR: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), a leading institution of open and distance learning in India, continues to expand its educational offerings to democratize higher education. Committed to providing quality education for all, IGNOU has announced the launch of several new innovative programmes in the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode for the July 2024 admission cycle. These programmes aim to enhance the educational opportunities available to students across the country, reflecting the university’s dedication to fostering accessible and inclusive learning environments.
The new programmes include MBA in Agribusiness Management, MBA in Health Care and Hospital Management, MBA in Construction Management, MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, M.Sc. in Community Development & Extension, Courses in Bhagavad Gita, Courses in Performing Arts-Hindustani Music, Rehabilitation Psychology and Fashion Design and Retail.

To accommodate prospective students who were unable to complete their admission formalities within the initially announced timeline, the university has extended the last date for admission to its various programmes for the ongoing academic session. This extension applies to all certificate, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, and master programmes offered by the university.
Dr. Rizvi emphasized that today, August 31, 2024, is the final day for admission to all academic programmes offered in Open Distance Learning or Online Learning mode for the July 2024 session.
