BARAMULLA: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, police in Baramulla launched a comprehensive operation to destroy wild cannabis in Dungdara Kreeri, Pattan, Hanjiwera and Kungamdara areas of Baramulla.
The team, comprising of Police officials, Revenue/ Excise authorities, respectables, numberdars and chowkidars conducted destruction drive of wild cannabis on vast tracts of land approximately 12 kanals.
“General public has widely appreciated the initiative, acknowledging the police’s commitment to combating drug abuse. The community has urged the police to expand the drive to other areas, demonstrating their support for the campaign,” police said in a statement.
