Zargar Polyclinic hosts free health camp in Pampore

200 people registered for medical check up

PAMPORE: A free health check-up camp was held for the residents of Pampore in Saffron Town on Sunday, organized by the Zargar Polyclinic Diagnostic Centre. The event attracted a large turnout, including many women and senior citizens, who came to address their health concerns. The camp provided free blood sugar and other tests.
Dr Shoib Yousuf, MBBS, MD (Medicine), a Consultant in the Department of Medicine at SMHS and Associated Hospitals Srinagar, reported that approximately 200 people registered for medical check-ups. “The camp has been organized to benefit the common citizens of Pampore and adjoining areas,” he said, adding that they would attend to any pending patients on Sunday.
Speaking to Kashmir Reader, Dr Shoib said the camp had been in planning for the last three weeks and aimed to offer free consultations and tests. “In today’s camp, we have seen around 220 patients. We are conducting free check-ups and providing tests such as blood sugar, thyroid, and other blood tests. If additional tests are necessary that we cannot provide for free, we will guide the patients to get them done outside at a discounted rate, especially for those who cannot afford it,” he explained.
Dr Yousuf also mentioned that he is available at SMHS hospital for these patients.
