JAMMU: Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, attended a significant event at Pir Ki Gali on the famous Mughal Road after the Waqf Board took over the management of the Sufi Shrine of Qadir Sahib (RA). The event marked a new chapter for the shrine, reflecting the persistent demand from the local population across both divisions of J&K.
Dr. Andrabi was accompanied by Waqf Executive Officer Shopian, Javid Qadiri, SDPO Shopian, and the concerned SHO. Speaking at the event, Dr. Andrabi expressed her gratitude for the local community’s support and trust in the Waqf Board. She acknowledged the crucial role played by the administration and police authorities in facilitating the takeover.
“I thank the people for their support and trust in the Board. The Board considered the demand of the people and took over the management of the shrine. I thank the Administration and the Police authorities for their exceptional support in making it possible,” said Dr. Andrabi.
Dr. Andrabi assured the public of transparent management of the shrine and promised the development of necessary facilities for visitors and devotees. “All requisite developments will be done here. Plans for developing facilities for the visitors and devotees will be made and executed soon,” she assured.
