Police arrest three fraudsters in Baramulla

BARAMULLA: Police in Baramulla successfully apprehended three individuals involved in cheating innocent residents.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the gang’s modus operandi involved cheating people under the pretext of selling and purchasing vehicles and promising government jobs in reputable institutions like banks and government departments, police said in a statement.
“Acting swiftly, a case vide FIR No. 100/24 U/s 318(4) BNS was registered at Police Station Kreeri. Subsequently, three accused persons identified as Mudasir Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Ahmad Mir, resident of Thindma, Firdosue Ahmad Mir @Sameer Khan, son of Ab Aziz, resident of Mughalpora Tangmarg, currently residing in Chanpora, Srinagar and Syed Akther, son of Ab Rasheed, resident of Sonlipora Tanmarg have been arrested and taken into custody,” the statement said.
Police said that further investigation is underway, adding that more arrests are expected as the probe progresses and more evidence is gathered.
