CSA invites applications for Science Writing Fellowship

NEW DELHI: The Current Science Association is inviting applications for the Science Writing Fellowship. The selected candidates will have the opportunity to work for a duration of one year in the editorial office of the Current Science journal.
Interested applicants must send the applications including their detailed Curriculum vitae (CV) at The Executive Secretary, Current Science Association, CV Raman Avenue, Post Box No. 8001, Sadashivnagar P.O., Bengaluru 560080 by July 31.
Selected applicants will be awarded a fellowship stipend of Rs 25,000 per month for working full-time. However, the applicant will not allowed to take any other position for full time or even part time. During their tenure, the candidates will have the opportunity to write for the news, research news and general sections of the journal Current Science regularly.
Selected candidates will be expected to write for the news, research news and general sections of the journal on a regular basis. Selected candidates are expected to assist the editorial staff in the publication of Current Science.
Science Writing Fellowship: Eligibility criteria
– Applicants must have a graduate degree BSc from any branch of science.
– Candidates must be 35 years old or younger, as on March 1, 2024.
Candidates satisfying the above criteria along with a postgraduate degree in any branch of science, literature, journalism or mass communication having essential writing skills and interest in different areas of science such as physical, biological, medical, earth, planetary, atmospheric sciences, engineering science, economic science, social science and management science can also apply.
Basic computer skills in computer is also desirable. Applicants must note that the fellowship stipend can be increased after evaluating the qualifications and experience of selected candidates and even the fellowship duration can also extended depending on the performance of the candidates.
