JKSA Central Working Committee holds elections, appoints new office-bearers

SRINAGAR: The J&K Students Association Central Working Committee held a detailed meeting on Thursday, during which elections for new office-bearers took place to revamp and refurbish the organizational structure.
Mushtaq Habeeb has been elected as Chairman of Association, while Nasir Khuehami has been reappointed as National Convenor for a second consecutive term. Ummar Jamal has been elected as National President, Munawar Mehraj as Vice President, and Adil Bhat as National General Secretary Organization. Faisal Bilal and Farhat Riyaz have been appointed as Spokespersons, while as Zubair Reshi as Additional Spokesperson and In-Charge Communication, Malik Adnan as Secretary, Dr. Nazia Israr as Joint Secretary, and Osheeba Bashir as National Media Coordinator.
Nasir Khuehami congratulated the new appointees, expressing confidence in their dedication and enthusiasm to ensure the welfare and betterment of Jammu and Kashmir’s student community. Newly elected National President Ummar Jamal emphasized the importance of working together to make the JKSA a stronger and more effective platform for students. He is eager to expand the association’s reach and impact.
The other newly appointed office-bearers also expressed their happiness and pledged their support to ensure the success of JKSA’s endeavors. The association plans to constitute its State and UT bodies in the coming days to expand its reach and strengthen grassroots connections for more effective advocacy.
Furthermore, the central working committee appointed four new advisors, who have been relieved of their respective portfolios in the Association. The JKSA also plans to extend its reach by revamping its international bodies and appointing coordinators abroad.
The association will soon launch a year-round membership drive, welcoming new volunteer students to join and contribute to its mission. The Jammu and Kashmir Students’ Association conducts these elections annually to maintain a dynamic and well-structured organization, ensuring it remains responsive to the needs and aspirations of its members while continuing to advocate for the rights and well-being of students from Jammu and Kashmir.
