HAJIN: Waseem Ahmad’s blistering knock of 92 runs helped Dar Construction Palpora secure the inaugural title of the 1st edition of the Hajin Champions Trophy, played at the Sports Ground Hajin on Wednesday.

Dar Construction Palpora captain Shahid Ahmad won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted a mammoth total of 280 runs on the board, with Waseem Kachur scoring 92 off 37 balls and Asif Decock contributing 57 off 21 balls.

For FCC Sumbal, Irfan Ahmad and Junaid took one wicket each.

In reply, FCC Sumbal was bundled out for 201 runs. Sufraan (56 off 14 balls) and Shahid Farooq (48 off 28 balls) were the highest run scorers for their team. Shahid Dar bowled brilliantly, taking 2 wickets.

Waseem Kachur was awarded Man of the Match for his outstanding all-round performance.
