3 yatris among 5 injured in road accident in Kangan

GANDERBAL: A road accident occurred at Satrina Kangan in Ganderbal district on Thursday afternoon when two vehicles collided, resulting in injuries to five people.
According to officials, an Amaze vehicle with the registration number PB10HZ-6707, traveling from Srinagar to Baltal for yatra purposes, collided with an auto load carrier with the registration number JK16A-9084 coming from the opposite direction. The accident resulted in injuries to three yatris: 16-year-old Maneysood, 48-year-old Kiran, and 51-year-old Jagdesh Kumar, all residents of Ludhiana, Punjab.
Two locals, Javaid Ahmed son of GH Nabi from Handwara and Muzaffar Ahmed son of Abdul Rehman from Nizampora Kangan, were also injured in the accident.
All five injured individuals were taken to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Kangan for treatment. Three of the yatris were referred to SKIMS Soura for further treatment.
Kangan Police have registered a case and are investigating the accident.
