17-yr-old boy drowns in Jhelum River in Hajin

HAJIN: A tragic incident occurred on Thursday when 17-year-old Nadeem Zahoor, a resident of Mir Mohalla Hajin, Bandipora, drowned in the Jhelum River near J&K Bank. He was the lone brother of two sisters.
Nadeem ventured into the river to take a bath, but soon disappeared from view. A rescue operation was launched by police, Army, SDRF, and other officials, but despite their efforts, no trace of his body has been found as of now.
Two deep divers from the SDRF department also entered the water to search for the body, but were unsuccessful. Nadeem’s family is left reeling in shock and grief, with women wailing on the Jhelum shore mourning his disappearance.
The family is urging authorities to deploy additional teams of MARCOS to retrieve Nadeem’s body. His parents have been left heartbroken with him being their only son. The incident has sent shockwaves through the entire area, with people expressing their condolences to the bereaved family.
