CUK SLS & SPCS hold extension lectures

GANDERBAL: The department of law, school of legal studies (SLS) and department of Mathematics, School of Physical & Chemical Sciences (SPCS) central university of Kashmir, organised extension lectures for the students, scholars and faculty.
The lecture in the department of law was titled as “Supreme court practice and procedure: An overview of the supreme court rules 2013”. The lecture was conducted by prominent legal expert -Advocate R.H.A Sikander who is well known for his contributions to legal education and practice.
The expert presented his lecture on supreme court practice and procedure, particularly focusing on the supreme court rules 2013. He enlightened the audience about overview of the supreme court, supreme court rules 2013, procedural requirements, landmark cases and precedents in addition to recent developments. An interactive session was also conducted for the audience. The expert speaker said that such lectures are valuable for legal professionals, law students and anyone interested in understanding the operational intricacies of the supreme court and to know as to how legal cases are handled within its framework.
Earlier, Dr. Jehrurl Islam, Associate Professor in the department presented the welcome address. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Shahid, student of BA LLB 8th semester.
Meanwhile department of Mathematics, School of Physical & Chemical Sciences, also organised as special series of lectures by eminent experts, Prof. N. Kishan and Prof. B. Surendar Reddy from Osmania University, Hyderabad.
Prof. N. Kishan talked about fluid dynamics, its latest advancements and applications in the field. While Prof. B. Surendar Reddy, in his lecture talked about direct product of groups -an algebraic topic.
In the later sessions, Dr. Debangana Mukherjee, Assistant Professor at Krea University, Andhra Pradesh, delivered a presentation on the “shape of solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations’ ‘.
Earlier, Prof. Mohmmad Yousuf, Dean, SPCS remarked that such interactions are essential for fostering academic excellence and providing a robust platform for knowledge dissemination and scholarly dialogue. Dr. H. R. Bhapkar, HoD Mathematics, also emphasized upon the importance of such lectures. He expressed heartfelt gratitude to the competent authority of the varsity for their unwavering support and encouragement in facilitating these intellectual exchanges.
