BANDIPORA: In a remarkable initiative aimed at nurturing young talent, the Friends Humanitarian Trust and Citizens Welfare Forum Sumbal organized a talent search hunt under-19 cricket tournament on Sunday. The event was graced by esteemed personalities, including the CO of 13RR, Molvi Abdul Rashid, Imam of Jumah Safapore, and the Guests of Honour, DDC Safapore Ab Rashid.

The inaugural match saw a thrilling face-off between the Kangan Warriors and the Safapore Fighters. The atmosphere was electric as young athletes showcased their skills and sportsmanship on the field.

The organizer of the tournament announced that they will form a team of the most promising players, and all expenses for this team will be borne by the organization. This generous move aims to support and encourage young talent, ensuring they have the resources needed to excel.

Co-organizer Syed Sajad Hussain said that they are organizing these kinds of tournaments so that promising youth get a platform at national and international levels. “This is also an initiative to keep them away from getting involved in antisocial activities like drug menace. We will be doing our best to give them a stage at the highest level,” said Sajad Ahmad.
