National Lok Adalat in Chadoora resolves 348 cases, realizes over Rs 2 crore in settlements

BUDGAM: A National Lok Adalat was held in Sub Judge Court Chadoora Budgam District on Saturday.
Under the supervision of the District Legal Services Committee, Budgam, a National Lok Adalat was convened at the Sub-Judge Court Chadoora, the proceedings, under the jurisdiction of Bench No. 04, were effectively managed by Presiding Officer Sub-Judge/Chairman TLSC Chadoora Mir Wajahat and Bench Member Adv. Nusrat Nabi, officials told Kashmir Reader.
A total of 279 cases were brought before the bench, of which 115 were successfully resolved, resulting in the realization of Rs 1,29,03,749 as a settlement amount. This significant achievement greatly contributed to expediting the administration of justice and relieving the burden on conventional court systems.
Similarly, under Bench No. 05, presided over by Munisff/JMIC Chadoora, Ms Uzma Amin and Bench Member Adv. Tajamul, 69 cases were addressed. Of these, 41 cases were disposed of, resulting in the realization of Rs. 88,52,400 as a settlement amount. These outcomes reflect the dedication and effectiveness of the National Lok Adalat system in facilitating fair and efficient resolution of legal disputes.
