NEW DELHI: Airtel, the only Indian telecom network offering 5G connectivity besides Reliance Jio, has launched a new prepaid plan priced at Rs 1,499, offering many benefits including free Netflix Basic subscription.
The new entertainment prepaid plan comes with 3GB of daily data (unlimited 5G data), unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and a validity of 84 days. As part of the package, users will also get a free Netflix Basic subscription for the same time period.
Currently, this is the only prepaid plan from Airtel that offers a complimentary Netflix membership. To give you a quick recap, the Netflix Basic plan costs Rs 199 per month and lets users watch content at HD resolution (720p). You can also download your favourite shows on the device of your choice. Some additional benefits of Airtel’s new plan include three months of Apollo 24|7 Circle, free Hellotunes as well as access to Wynk Music.
To claim the free Netflix plan, open the Airtel Thanks app and head over to the ‘Thanks benefits’ section. This can be accessed by tapping on the profile picture from the top left corner of the screen. Here, find the Netflix benefits and press the ‘Claim’ button to activate it.
Reliance Jio also has two prepaid plans that include free Netflix. Similar to Airtel, the Rs 1,499 Reliance Jio comes with a complimentary Netflix Basic membership, and 3GB data per day with a validity of 84 days. If you want a cheaper plan, the Rs 1,099 plan, which comes Netflix mobile membership is also a good choice.
