The Institute of Cost Accountants of India to host students convention in Srinagar

Convention to felicitate meritorious students of CMA Courses

SRINAGAR: The Srinagar Chapter of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, in collaboration with Abdul Ahad Azad Memorial Degree College Bemina, is organizing a Students Convention on April 29, 2024, at 11:00 am. The convention aims to felicitate meritorious students who have successfully passed various courses of CMA (Cost and Management Accountancy).
The event will be held at the Auditorium of AAA Memorial Govt Degree College, Bemina. Prof. Dr. Yasmeen Ashai, Director of Colleges, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Additionally, CMA Bibhuti Bhusan Nayak (Vice President), CMA MK Anand (Chairman Professional Development Committee), and CMA SN Mittal (Chairman – NIRC) from The Institute of Cost Accountants of India will attend as Guests of Honour.
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, a statutory body established under an Act of Parliament, boasts about 100 Chapters and 90 thousand members across India and abroad. It has an MOU with the Higher Education Department of the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for conducting various Skill Development Courses like GST in commerce through Bemina Degree College.
During the convention, six students, including five girls, who have passed the intermediate level, will be felicitated. Notably, Ms. Zinab Fayaz Sofi has achieved All India Rank 10, bringing pride to the region.
Moreover, the Srinagar Chapter announces the launch of the CMA SUPER 50 scheme, through which 50 meritorious students (12th pass and 12th appearing) will be selected via a written test followed by an interview. The selected students will receive free admission, coaching classes, guidance, and mentorship. The aim of the CMA SUPER 50 scheme is to boost the CMA profession in Kashmir, where its impact has been minimal thus far.
The event is jointly organized by CMA Bashir Masoudi, Chairman of the Srinagar Chapter of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, and Prof. Nazir Ahmad Simnani, Principal of Bemina Degree College.
