Microsoft OneNote now available for Apple Vision Pro as a native app

NEW DELHI: Microsoft has announced that OneNote is now available as a native app on the Apple Vision Pro. In a blog post, Microsoft said that those using the Apple headset can now “make use of the infinite canvas of spatial computing” and use the app side-by-side with other Office apps like Word and Excel.

Similar to the iPad version of the app, Microsoft’s note-taking app for the Apple Vision Pro lets users write memos, make notes or a digital notebook, secure existing notes with a password, sync them to OneDrive and even share them with friends or colleagues. The app also supports hands-free mode, but can also be used with a keyboard and trackpad if the user connects them to the Vision Pro via Bluetooth.

To get the app on your Apple Vision Pro, simply head over to the App Store and search for Microsoft OneNote. Now, tap the ‘Get’ button, open the app and sign in using your Microsoft account. While most features have already made their way on visionOS, Microsoft notes that some features like the ability to insert from camera and photos, Copilot and two-factor authentication are ‘coming soon’.

OneNote for Apple Vision Pro currently supports personal and work accounts that aren’t managed by your organisation. The Apple Vision Pro is the tech giant’s first mixed-reality headset. At launch, it had over 600 native apps specifically developed for the platform and is also compatible with most apps designed for iPad and iPhone.
