The Library Cum Study Centre promises to become a beacon of intellectual growth, providing resources and support for individuals seeking to broaden their horizons and excel in their academic endeavours.
The initiative reflects a collective effort towards nurturing a society that values education and enlightenment, contributing towards the holistic development of the region. As the Library Cum Study Centre opens its doors, it paves the way for a brighter future, empowered by the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.
Speaking to Kashmir Reader, Mirwaiz Moulana Riyaz Hamdani said, “This is an encouraging initiative. The Auqaf Islamia Trust Pampore has established a library and study centre with excellent books for the public, especially for the youth who can borrow these books for reading and benefit from them. These books will help dispel any misunderstandings or misconceptions in their minds about various issues or problems.”
President IAIT Pampore Mohammad Maqbool Shah said, “Our ideology is to invite our youth towards religion and guide them away from the wrong activities, particularly the involvement in drugs which is prevalent in society nowadays. We aim to bring them back to the path of religion and in that regard, we have taken the first step by inaugurating a library here. Our target this year is to include 10,000 books in this library.”
He added, “We need public support, and a dedicated reading room will be established. In addition, we have considered another aspect, which is setting up a book bank for students preparing for exams like NEET, KAS, JEE, and other competitive exams who lack access to study materials.”
In this library, there will be a book bank where students can benefit from available books.
“Our goal is to steer the students towards both religion and their careers so they can stay away from societal evils. We urge the public to support us in this endeavour. My appeal to the public is, if anyone has books at home, please donate them,” Shah said. “I also express my gratitude to those who have assisted in every way, especially to a friend who contributed one lakh rupees to this library. I hope that others whom I am also requesting will help us in this endeavour.”
