KU condoles with Dr Salima Jan on her brother’s demise

Srinagar: To condole with Dr Salima Jan, Media Advisor, Public Relations Centre (PRC), and Director, Educational Multimedia Research Centre (EMRC), Kashmir University (KU), on the demise of her brother, the university fraternity expressed grief and sympathies with Dr Salima Jan and her family.
G A Dar (IPS Retd), Dr Salima Jan’s brother, passed away late Sunday night, at his residence at Friends Enclave, Airport Road, Humhama, due to cardiac arrest. His Namaz-e-Janaza was performed Monday morning among relatives, colleagues and friends.
In her condolence message, KU Vice Chancellor, Professor Nilofer Khan, extended her heartfelt condolences to Dr Salima Jan and her extended family, and said that the KU fraternity shares the grief of Dr Salima Jan and her family.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Dr Salima Jan and her family during this difficult time. We share their sorrow and offer our support and condolences,” Prof Khan said in a statement issued here.
KU Registrar, Prof Naseer Iqbal, also condoled the demise and expressed deep sorrow over the demise of G A Dar (IPS Retd), Dr Salima’s brother.
“We extend our deepest sympathies to Dr Salima and her family, and pray for eternal peace to the departed soul and patience and forbearance to Dr Salima and her family,” Prof Naseer said.
The university fraternity stands together in solidarity with Dr Salima Jan and her family, offering support and prayers as they navigate through this challenging time, an official spokesperson said in the statement.
