CRPF rescues groom stranded in snowy Tral, escorts him to in-laws

PAMPORE: In a commendable rescue operation, the 180 Battalion of the CRPF saved groom Mukhtar Ahmad Gujjar, who was stranded in the remote Bren Pathri area of Sub Division Tral on Tuesday. Due to heavy snowfall, the groom was unable to reach his in-laws’ place for his scheduled wedding.
Mukhtar Ahmad Gujjar’s marriage is scheduled today, but due to heavy snowfall, vehicles are unable to move, preventing him from reaching his in-laws’ village in the Gutroo Satoora area of Sub Division Tral, local residents told Kashmir Reader.
The groom and local residents have expressed gratitude to 180 Battalion CRPF. The groom, with his marriage scheduled on Tuesday, thanked the CRPF wholeheartedly and said that due to the heavy snowfall, he couldn’t reach his in-laws’ place. In this situation, he called the CRPF for help, and they immediately arrived and assisted them.
Local CRPF officer Ram Jeth highlighted that they are always ready to help the public, and they can be contacted anytime for assistance.
Nisar Ahmad Gujjar, a resident of Bren Pathri Tral, said that today was supposed to be his wedding day, but due to heavy snowfall, we faced a lot of difficulty. All the roads were blocked, so we called the 180 Battalion CRPF, and due to their prompt response, they rescued us. They brought vehicles with them, which helped clear the road, and they safely escorted me to my destination in their vehicle. I am deeply grateful to the CRPF.
The groom said that people often wish to travel in grand vehicles for their wedding processions, but I consider myself fortunate to have traveled in a special CRPF vehicle to my in-laws’ place.
A CRPF official told Kashmir Reader that Mukhtar Ahmad Gujjar’s marriage is scheduled today, but due to heavy snowfall, vehicles are unable to move, preventing him from reaching his in-laws’ village in the Gutroo Satoora area of Sub Division Tral.
Mukhtar Ahmad called the CRPF for help. The CRPF promptly dispatched two vehicles equipped with tyre chains to Nagbal. They transported him in a CRPF vehicle and safely dropped him off at Gutroo, where he got married. The continuing snowfall made the operation challenging, according to CRPF officials.
Ram Jeth, a senior CRPF officer, told Kashmir Reader that a young man from the far-flung Bren Patri area of Tral, who was getting married today, called us for help. He said that today is my wedding, but all the roads are blocked due to heavy snowfall, and I need assistance from the CRPF to reach my in-laws’ place.
After obtaining permission from our Commandant, we went there and cleared the road. We then took the groom and the other people in our vehicles and safely escorted them to their in-laws’ place.
The CRPF officer told Kashmir Reader that Mukhtar Ahmad Gujjar will be the first groom to be rescued by the CRPF and safely escorted in a CRPF vehicle to his in-laws’ place.
It is our duty to help whenever people need assistance. The CRPF is always prepared to serve people during challenging times. The people of Tral and nearby areas appreciate the actions of the CRPF. We are also pleased to be able to help the people of our area.
