BJP leader addresses local concerns in Pulwama, welcomes PDP Sarpanch, supporters into party

PAMPORE: Mohammad Asif Ganaie, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice President for Pulwama, convened a crucial meeting with party workers in Saffron Town Pampore on Saturday. The gathering, attended by numerous party workers from Pampore Constituency, focused on addressing pertinent local issues, with Ganaie emphasizing the need to strengthen the BJP’s presence in the area.
During the meeting, a delegation from Pampore Constituency engaged with BJP Vice President Asif Ganaie, raising concerns related to sports grounds, roads, electricity, and other essential matters. Ganaie assured the workers that the party is committed to resolving genuine issues faced by the community, pledging support for necessary improvements.
In a notable development, PDP Sarpanch Mohammad Rajab Bhat from Khrenchoo village of Pampore, along with other supporters, officially joined the BJP during the meeting. Extending a warm welcome to the new members, BJP Vice President Mohammad Asif Ganaie expressed dissatisfaction with the historical neglect of Saffron Town Pampore by both the PDP and NC. He underscored the BJP’s commitment to address and rectify the overlooked issues in the region.
Speaking to Kashmir Reader, BJP Vice President Pulwama Mohammad Asif Ganaie stated, “Today, we held a meeting with party workers from the Pampore Constituency. In the meeting, we emphasized to the party workers that we aim to strengthen the BJP in the Pampore Constituency.”
He informed Kashmir Reader that PDP Sarpanch Mohammad Rajab Bhat from Khrenchoo village joined the BJP along with his supporters. Ganaie welcomed everyone, highlighting that people in Pampore Constituency, irrespective of their past affiliations with PDP or NC, feel that Saffron Town Pampore should no longer be ignored.
“People are observing our work, and that’s why they want to join BJP. We welcome everyone, whether they were associated with NC, PDP, or any other party. Our doors are open to all those who are now joining us,” he affirmed. Ganaie assured that anyone facing issues, especially the youth, can approach the BJP, as they are committed to addressing their concerns and ensuring inclusive representation.
