J&K Police’s swift response brings relief to Pampore fire victims

Affected families extend gratitude for timely assistance

Pampore: In an exemplary display of efficiency and empathy, the Jammu and Kashmir Police acted swiftly on Thursday evening to provide immediate assistance to several families affected by fire incidents in the Galander Pampore area of the Awantipora police district.
The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Awantipora, Ajaz Ahmad Zargar, accompanied by SDPO Pampore Krishan Rattan and other police officers, visited the families affected by the Thursday morning fire incidents. During the visit, SSP Awantipora assessed the damages caused by the fire and expressed sympathy for the loss of property suffered by the affected families.
The relief efforts, led by SSP Awantipora and SDPO Pampore, included the distribution of various household essentials such as blankets, mattresses, rice, flour, gas cylinders, and other food items. The police officials ensured that the affected families received immediate support during this challenging time, as reported by Kashmir Reader.
Expressing their gratitude, the affected families highlighted the timely and compassionate response from Jammu and Kashmir Police, emphasizing the force’s dedication to community support.
“We are very thankful to SSP Awantipora and SDPO Pampore, who came to our aid during this challenging time and provided relief to us,” said a woman from one of the affected families. She expressed deep gratitude to the Awantipora Police, especially SSP Ajaz Ahmad Zargar and SDPO Krishan Rattan, for their significant assistance during the crisis.
Abdul Rasheed Ganaie, another fire victim, praised SSP Awantipora and SDPO Pampore for their continuous encouragement and assistance. He acknowledged that the Jammu and Kashmir police were the first to provide aid, distributing essential items such as food, blankets, clothes, and other necessities.
Ganaie added, “All the belongings we had in our house were damaged in the fire incident, and we are grateful to the Jammu and Kashmir police for coming there and helping us.” The affected families expressed their heartfelt thanks for the police’s immediate response and support during their time of need.
