Pampore: The Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party conducted a comprehensive public outreach program in the Pampore Constituency on Wednesday. The event, hosted at Konibal Village, witnessed active participation from numerous party workers and the general public. Mohammad Ashraf Mir, the Provincial President of Apni Party, presided over the outreach program.
Key party leaders present at the occasion included Provincial Secretary Umar Jan, DDC Chairman Pampore Mir Altaf, DDC member Tral Manzoor Ahmad Ganaie, Dr. Talat Majeed, Dazy Raina, Youth Provisional Secretary Khalid Rather, Mohammad Ayoub Bandh, and others, as informed by Apni Party leader Mir Altaf to Kashmir Reader.
Addressing the gathering, Ashraf Mir urged people to support the Apni Party, assuring them of honesty and genuine efforts. He emphasized the party’s commitment to working for the people without prioritizing family interests, distinguishing it from previous dynastic parties. Mir pointed out that the Apni Party is dedicated to transparency, a departure from dynastic rule, and pledged to fulfill genuine demands without resorting to false promises.
Speaking to the media, Mir shared insights on the outreach program. “Today, we visited Konibal in the Pampore Constituency for our party’s outreach program. It was a great experience connecting with people, and we plan to continue these continuous programs across all districts in Jammu and Kashmir, even during the cold winter season. Today, people came despite the cold, and it was heartening to see their participation.”
Mir acknowledged the disappointment among people due to the absence of elections and slow progress in development work. He highlighted concerns about the lack of government action. Regarding the upcoming elections, Mir expressed hope, stating, “People are positive, but they have become hopeless as previous governments have not delivered on development, jobs, and addressing unemployment. Despite a pleasant environment, there’s a sense of disappointment. However, it seems that the upcoming elections have created a positive atmosphere. People don’t have expectations from the previous government, so they are hopeful that Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party will bring a new beginning, focusing on development, pro-people initiatives, and initiating a New Kashmir under a new government.”
The Apni Party leader emphasized the exhaustion and sense of betrayal among the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He stated, “The people of Jammu and Kashmir are exhausted; they’ve always felt betrayed. Today, they desire change, be it the youth or the elderly. Everyone understands that choosing the wrong path won’t yield any positive results.” Mir predicted a challenging time for the National Conference and PDP, suggesting that the upcoming opportunity might not be given to them.
He concluded by highlighting the Jammu Kashmir Apni Party’s initiation of a new beginning under the leadership of Mohammad Altaf Bukhari. The party, formed three to four years ago, aims to bring about positive change and is set to contest parliamentary elections in both Kashmir and Jammu regions.
