Iran, Kenya joins list of nations offering visa-free travel to Indians

While Kenyan President William Ruto declared that foreign visitors will not require a visa to enter the nation starting January 2024, Iran, too, waived the need for a visa for travellers from 33 countries, that includes India.
President Ruto highlighted how this innovative platform will expedite the issuing of electronic travel authorization, eliminating the time consuming process for applying for a visa and is a step towards promoting tourism and international relations
This is the government’s plan to use a recently created digital platform to expedite the admissions process. Kenya’s economy is mostly dependent on tourism, with the country being well known for its varied landscapes and dynamic culture. By eliminating the need for visa, the government hopes to draw in more foreign tourists.
In addition, Iran to waive the need for visa for travelers from 33 additional countries, including india, the move is intended to increase tourism arrivals and draw more tourists from around the globe.
Recently, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Malaysia had decided to grant visa-free entry to Indians. According to the latest Passport Index by Henley and Partners for 2023, Indian passport holders can now travel to 57 countries sans visa woes. This list encompasses nations offering visa-free travel, visa-on-arrival facilities, and Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA).
