SKUAST-K holds series of entrepreneurship awareness programs at Nawa Kadal Women’s College

Srinagar: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir inaugurated a series of Management Development and Entrepreneurship Awareness programs at the Government College for Women, Nawa Kadal.
The skill and entrepreneurship programs were organised by SKUAST-K’s School of Agricultural Economics and Horti Business Management, FoH, under the sponsorship of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt of India.
Director, Research and P&M, Prof Haroon R Naik, who was the chief guest at the inaugural session, briefed about the need for skill development among the young generation. He highlighted the importance of the diversity of resources available in Kashmir that are highly advantageous and stressed the need for sustainable resource use to tap benefits.
Principal of Government College for Women, Nawakadal, Prof MF Mir in his address expressed thankfulness to SKUAST-K choosing his college for the conduct of MSME entrepreneurship programmes. He expressed his interest in entering into a formal MoU with SKUAST-K for knowledge sharing and student competence building.
Head, School of AE&HBM, Prof SH Baba, in his remarks, emphasized the creation of an innovation culture for entrepreneurship and startups. Dr Omar F Khan, Dr Abid Sutan, Dr Mushtaq A Lone, Dr Zuhaib and Dr Ishrat F Bhat along with other faculty of SKUAST-K and Government College for Women, Nawakadal were also present in the session.
