SKUAST-K students proceed for internship at CDAC Kolkata

Srinagar: A group of students from Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), are embarking on a one-month training program at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) Kolkata to explore the limitless possibilities of data analysis and innovation.
This internship program of students is part of the memorandum of understanding between SKUAST-K and CDAC Kolkata, for students, faculty, and information exchange. The two institutes are embarking on a joint mega program on IoT and automation in agriculture using advanced tools of AI&ML.
CDAC-K, renowned for its excellence in advanced computing research and education, aims to equip the participating students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the field of Big Data Analytics which is fundamental to artificial intelligence and machine learning. With an emphasis on hands-on learning and real-world applications, the program promises to be a stepping stone for these students towards a promising career in data analytics.
Before leaving for CDAC the group of ten students met Professor Nazir Ahmed Ganai, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-K, who congratulated the students for this opportunity and expressed the hope that students will greatly benefit from this training.
Prof MS Pukhta, Head, Division of Agri. Statistics, and Dr Imran Khan, the program coordinator for SKUAST-K and CDAC-K encouraged students to make the most of this unique opportunity.
