Srinagar: Chairperson of the Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board and Minister of State, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, on Tuesday paid a visit to the revered shrine of Peer Dastgir Sahib (RA) in Khanyar to assess the arrangements made for the ongoing Annual Urs celebrations.
Interacting with the representatives from various departments and local delegations, Dr. Andrabi ensured the necessary preparations were in place for the upcoming Annual Urs celebration scheduled for Friday.
Speaking to the media during her visit, Dr. Andrabi expressed satisfaction with the progress of the arrangements. She highlighted the roadmap for proper facilities at the shrine, including the ongoing road mechanization project, and affirmed her instructions to the ground staff to provide essential services to all devotees visiting the shrine during these special days.
Her recent meeting with the administration and departmental representatives had paved the way for these well-coordinated arrangements. The people present at the shrine expressed their gratitude for the reformative initiatives undertaken by the Waqf Board under Dr. Andrabi’s leadership over the past one and a half years.
