DC Pulwama kick-starts Sankalp Saptah in Aspirational Block Ichgoze

Pulwama: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom Tuesday inaugurated the Sankalp Saptah initiative with great enthusiasm in the aspirational block of Ichgoze, here.
The event marked the beginning of a week-long campaign dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the residents in the region and in the Aripal block of the district.
The gathering in Ichgoze witnessed the establishment of vital healthcare facilities catering to the local community’s needs, including ANC Clinic, TB Screening, NCD Screening, ABHA Registration, Anaemia Testing, Immunization Drive, Nikshay Mitra Facility, Free Medical Checkup and Free Medicine Distribution.
In his address, the DC passionately emphasized that Ichgoze, akin to many other aspirational blocks, holds immense potential, and it is the collective responsibility of citizens, community leaders, and government officials to unlock this potential and uplift the lives of its residents.
Recognizing the significance of these regions, the government has placed a dedicated focus on their development. Initiatives such as Sankalp Saptah aim to bridge the gap and bring essential services closer to the people, fostering a brighter future, he added.
Dr Basharat highlighted how government interventions in these areas can significantly improve the quality of life, providing opportunities for growth and prosperity.
Throughout the week-long program from 03 October to 09 October 2023, various activities will be held in Aspirational blocks of Ichgoze and Aripal. These activities include Swasthya Mela at Health & Wellness Centres focusing on health, Poshan Mela at AWCs and VHSNDs focusing on nutrition, Swachata Shivir at Gram Panchayats focusing on cleanliness, Krishi Mahotsav focusing on agriculture, Shiksha Ek Sankalp focusing on education, Samriddhi Diwas focusing on livelihoods and Samavesh Samaroh.
These activities will be carried out across the twin blocks in every Panchayat, ensuring a comprehensive approach to community development.
The event was attended by Chief Medical Officer Pulwama, Block Medical Officer Rajpora, Tehsildar and Block Development Officer.
