Pampore: The nationwide Ayushman Bhav health mela was organised at Sub District Hospital Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
In an effort to promote health awareness and access to healthcare services, a mega Health mela was organized at Sub District Hospital Pampore as part of the Ayushman Bhav Campaign. The health Mela was organized by SDH Pampore in collaboration with Government Medical College Srinagar as part of the Ayushman Bhav initiative.
The event was inaugurated by BMO Pampore Dr Asima Nazir in the presence of doctors and other health officials.
BMO Pampore, Dr Asima Nazir, shared her vision for the event, saying, “The Ayushman Bhav Campaign has provided us with a valuable platform to engage with our community and emphasize the importance of good health. Our aim is to empower individuals with knowledge about healthcare resources and services available to them.”
The Ayushman Bhav campaign, a comprehensive nationwide healthcare initiative of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, which aimed to provide saturation coverage of healthcare services to every village and town in the country was launched by President Droupadi Murmu on September 13.
The campaign will be implemented during the Seva Pakhwada from September 17 to October 2.
Talking to Kashmir Reader Senior health official Abdul Hamid Magray said that since this morning, a large number of people gathered here, and there was a doctor available for everyone, which made them very happy.
During the day-long camp, hundreds of patients from different parts of health block Pampore were seen by doctors from Government Medical College Srinagar and SDH Pampore
The specialist doctors belong to various disciplines including Psychiatry, Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology, Urology, Radiology, Endocrinology, Dermatologist, Pathology, Neurology, Paediatrician, ENT and Physician, he told Kashmir Reader.
He explained, “We organised a health fair as part of the Ayushman Bhav initiative in collaboration with the Government Medical College. The Government Medical College provides many facilities here. This is a very good initiative by the Government of India, which is reaching people at their doorstep, and people are benefiting from it.”
