The Declaration Against Hate and War

The Declaration Against Hate and War

The G20 Summit in India has proved that world leaders acknowledge the importance of peace and tranquility for promising real growth and development throughout the world

There can hardly be any doubt about the fact that peace and tranquility are important in this world for real prosperity to reign. War has always led humanity to dangerous consequences hitting the stakeholders badly and hurting their real causes. Some politicians might like war for their vested interests but the real statesmen have always been aware of the blessings the peace and tranquility bring forth therefore they prefer peace and denounce antagonism and confrontation.
The recently held G20 Summit in India has proved that world leaders acknowledge the importance of peace and tranquility for promising real growth and development throughout the world.
During the summit, the New Delhi Declaration called for peace in Ukraine which has seen a lot of devastation due to the prolonged war. The leaders have rightly acknowledged that war has hardly any relevance in today’s era.
The Declaration called upon all the countries to uphold the principles of international law, including territorial integrity and sovereignty and pitched for initiatives for “comprehensive, just, and durable peace in Ukraine”. “The use or threat of use of nuclear weapons is inadmissible.” The announcement about a consensus on the 37-page declaration and its subsequent adoption was made by Prime Minister Modi at the start of the second session on the opening day of the two-day summit of the grouping of major developed and developing countries.
We cannot deny the fact that war is hardly an option in this so-called nuclear era. Any potential confrontation can lead to such circumstances which shall bring the total extinction of this world. We also know that war has never helped any of its aspirants in the long run. It has always been a curse for those who desired it and for those upon whom it was imposed. Rationality, wit or even the common sense shall never prefer war over peace. That is what makes the New Delhi Declaration so important for this region and the world as a whole.
The Declaration also strongly deplored all acts of religious hatred against persons, religious symbols and holy books.
In recent times, we have seen a lot of hatred simmering around different parts of the world against other religions. People feel free to spread hate against other religions which often leads to monstrous consequences. Even some politicians use hate against other religions to become more and more famous among their people. In the recent past, we witnessed several incidents of religious hate and bigotry. Some fanatics burned the holy scriptures and others used their filthy tongues freely to spread venom against other religions. The leaders have acknowledged that such hate and false propaganda are going to create such a vicious circle in our world which won’t leave any space for peace and tranquility to thrive. It is the time to check all the hatred which is spreading its monstrous wings around us. We have to extinguish the fire of hatred which is spreading around us before it becomes as devastating as uncontrollable. The dignitaries and the signatories of this declaration must make it possible that their words and pledges are held with respect properly under their jurisdictions particularly. It is a well-known fact that not the pledges but their wholehearted and successful implementation on the ground turns the petty politicians into the real statesmen. If our leaders have proposed to give peace and tranquility a chance again to thrive in the world their supporters and subordinates must follow them cheerfully to realise their great dream.
For the real prosperity and betterment of this world, we have to ignore and deplore every kind of hatred and give peace, love and affection the proper chance.
Only love has the power to unite us and to witness a real win-win situation for all.
