4 arrested for illegal mining in Pampore, vehicles seized

Pampore: Police on Thursday said they arrested four persons and seized four vehicles from their possession for being involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at the Khrew area of Pampore in south Kashmir’s Police district Awantipora.
Acting tough against the persons involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, Police Khrew have arrested four drivers and seized 4 vehicles in Khrew.
A police party from Police Station Khrew headed by SHO Khrew Rehman Tandoli seized four vehicles including Tipper and Dumper bearing Registration numbers JK01AF-7611, JK01AT-6196, JK13D-2511 and JK13A-5616 and arrested four drivers involved in illegal Extraction of Minerals, police officials told Kashmir Reader.
The arrested drivers were identified as Mohammad Amin of Haihama Kupwara, Ghulam Hussain Rather of Shalina, Mohammad Altaf Lone and Mushtaq Ahmad Rather, residents of Munpora Wuyan Pampore.
The accused persons have been shifted to police station Khrew, Accordingly, a case FIR under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Khrew.
