Hajin: An awareness-cum-training program, under the aegis of SAMAGRA Shiksha, involving School Management Committees (SMCs) and School Management and Development Committees (SMDCs) was organised by Zonal Education Officer Hajin at Government Boys Middle School Gund Boon on Tuesday.
The program was presided over by Mohammad Yousuf. Headmaster Nazir Ahmad Yatoo, Sajad Ahmad HOI, Tariq Ahmad, Mohammad Rayees, Sarpanch Mohammad Shafi ,Mohammad Amin Malik senior assistant, Mubashir Ahmad RSS State Secretary, Haji Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh senior citizen, Ali Mohammad Sheikh Numberdar, Abdul Majeed Bhat, staff member and PRIs.
The community leaders on the occasion were sensitized and trained about various topics including roles and responsibilities of SMC, SMDC, account record keeping and maintenance, inclusive education, Right to Education (RTE), Out of School Children (OoSC), etc.
They were acquainted with the roles and responsibilities of SMCs and SMDCs in the development of schools. The participants were requested to come forward and revive the education system for the future of children in their locality.
They were also made aware of government schemes like the Mid Day Meal program, free textbooks and free uniforms for classes 1st to 8th. District Auditor Tariq Ahmad presented a vote of thanks.
