NCC workers at AIIMS Awantipora donate blood

Awantipora: A blood donation camp was organised at the under-construction All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.
The camp was organised by Block Medical Officer Pampore in collaboration with the blood centre district hospital Pulwama. It was inaugurated by blood bank officials in the presence of doctors and members of blood donors.
The camp was started with an awareness lecture among the NCC workers of the under-construction AIIMS by a team of doctors. They explained to the cadets the importance of blood donation and its role in saving precious human lives.
The blood bank staff of district hospital Pulwama along with in-charge blood storage unit sub-district hospital Pampore Shamim Abdullah were present during the camp, officials told Kashmir Reader.
Showing the way to the common man that there is no harm in donating blood, Nagarjuna Construction Company (NCC), the workers of the construction company at AIIMS campus Awantipora, came forward to donate blood to save the lives of patients.
Speaking on the occasion, Shamin Abdullah highlighted the importance of blood donation. He also thanked the NCC workers of the construction company for donating the blood.
