Srinagar: To deliberate the organizational set up and expansion in Kashmir Division, the All Jammu & Kashmir Panchayat Conference (AJKPC) on Saturday held a meeting here in district Pulwama presided by its president Anil Sharma and appointed the organisation’s adhoc teams for the valley.
During the meeting, threadbare discussion was made regarding the upcoming Panchayat elections as recently hinted by BR Sharma, the J&K Election Commissioner, the AJKPC said in a statement.
The Panchayat leaders also deliberated the issues concerning the locals of Kashmir division with regard to social welfare department, PHE, KPDCL, PWD, Rural Development and Revenue Department. The participants unanimously resolved to strengthen the Panchayati Raj Institutions in J&K so that Panchayat becomes one point stop for almost all government services and schemes. The issue of problems faced by people especially widows and old age people regarding social welfare pensions were also highlighted in the meeting.
On the demand and recommendation of local PRI members after discussions with the senior office bearers of AJKPC, Anil Sharma, the president of the organisation, announced an adhoc team for Kashmir region to be headed by Nazir Ahmed Raina, who has been designated as Convener of the AJKPC Kashmir Zone, Ghulam Ahmed Paul as Co-Convener (Central Kashmir), AK Pandita, Co-Convener (South Kashmir), Nazir Ahmed Rather as Co-Convener for North Kashmir.
As per another appointment order issued by office of AJKPC president, the Adhoc team for district Pulwama includes Mohd Shafi Wani who has been designated as AJKPC District Convener Pulwama, besides Mukhtar Ahmed Lone, Yaar Mohd Poswal, Dazy Raina, Mahesh Dhar, Farooq Ahmed Wani and Mohd Akbar all have been designated as Co-Conveners for district Pulwama with immediate effect. Dazy Raina has also been designated as District Head (AJKPC) Women Wing, Pulwama.
Sharma congratulated the newly-appointed team members of Kashmir and ask them to work selflessly for every person Kashmir whether the person has voted them or not in the elections.
Among othesr who attended the meeting were Manoj Pandita, Naseer Ahmed Khanday, Adil Nabi Mir, Nazir Ahmed Ahanger, M Yaqoob Lone, M.Aqbir Ganie, Nazir Ahmed Mir, Qayoom Mir, Omkar Nath Razdan, Nisar Ahmed, Tara Singh, Naseer Ahmed Rather, Ghulam Mohiuddin Ghulam Hassan, Mohd Ramzan, Ghulam Hassan Reshi, Dar Muzafer, Basharat Ahmed, Rajni Dembi, Susma Nehru, Riffat Jaan, and Brij Nath Bhat.
