Boy electrocuted to death while saving uncle in Awantipora

Awantipora: In a tragic incident, an 18-year-old boy was electrocuted to death after he tried to save his maternal uncle at Padgampora village of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
Muneeb Yousuf @ Sehran, son of Mohammad Yousuf Bhat, a resident of Padgampora, received injuries due to electric shock when a bulldozer came in the live wire. The injured person has been identified as Abdul Rasheed Dar, son of Mohammad Jabbar Dar.
Eyewitnesses told Kashmir Reader that both of them received electric current when a bulldozer came under the live high tension wire at Padgampora village.
Abdul Rasheed Dar, who received injuries in this incident, said he along with his nephew received the current when his bulldozer came in contact with the HT wire at Larkipora, Padgampora.
Dar received injuries on his hands and was shifted to a nearby hospital by locals. He was discharged from the hospital after treatment and his condition is said to be stable.
A police officer confirmed the death of the boy due to electric shock and said they have taken cognisance of the incident.
