CRPF organises tailoring course for widows, poor in Bandipora

Bandipora: Under its Civic Action Programme, a tailoring course for widows, poor and needy women, is being organized by 3 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Bandipora.
The course was inaugurated on Tuesday by Nisar Ahmad Wani (JKAS), Director Employment of Jammu & Kashmir. At the outset, all the participants were welcomed. During the interaction, Mahendra Kumar, Commandant 3BN CRPF said this course has been organized with the vision of empowering women as self-employed professional tailors who can stitch and repair garments, home furnishing articles, manage livelihood out of it and explore career options in the world of sewing.
During the programme, 20 poor and needy women along with tailoring trainer Miss Rashida Mumtaz are participating. They are the residents of the village Plan Bandipora, Nowpora. Dachigam, Ahemshref, Kunon, Onagam, Mantrigam, Kaloosa, Watapora, Muqam, Garoora, and other areas.
All the women appreciated the initiative taken by 3 Bn CRPF for the welfare and well-being of the poor and needy women of the area. They also promised that they will extend this course to the women of far-flung areas of Bandipora who couldn’t join this course due to unavoidable circumstances.
