Awantipora: The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) organised a one-day interaction programme at Malangpora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday. It also organised a special interaction programme with the PRIs, representatives of Auqaf committees from different halqas, and villages of the district here.
The programme was inaugurated by Chief Scientist head KVK Malangpora Dr Javaid Ahmad Magloo, officials told Kashmir Reader. It was attended by more than 30 representatives and all the scientists of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra.
Dr Magloo briefed the participants about the role and mandate of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Malangpora. During the meeting, the participants raised various issues pertaining to horticulture, disease management, dairy farming, vegetable farming and other allied sectors which they are facing. These issues were addressed one by one by the concerned scientists satisfactorily.
A future roadmap for proper outreach and engaging, involving maximum participation, especially from the young generation was also deliberated upon. The representatives hailed the efforts of the KVK Malangpora for conducting such outreach programmes and were very satisfied with the Kendra’s activities.
