Army’s 55 RR organises free medical camp in Awantipora, 300 patients treated

AWANTIPORA: Army’s 55 Rashtriya Rifles conducted a medical camp at Aghanzpora village of Awantipora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
Hundreds of locals took part in the camp and received healthcare services from a team of experts. The camp was organised near the river Jhelum with the aim of helping the marginalized people in the area and their welfare, a senior Army official said.
The initiative was hailed as a remarkable one by the locals, keeping in view the amount of relief it bought to the ailing in society.
The event was meticulously planned and organised at Aghanzpora by the special medical team of Army doctors. The activities in the camp involved the distribution of necessary medications, treating needy patients, and spreading awareness regarding diseases like Dengue, Malaria, and other Waterborne diseases that may spread during the upcoming monsoon season in the village which is located astride Jhelum River, officials said.
About 300 people including women, children and elders were benefited from the camp. Through these initiatives, Malangpora COB not only provided essential healthcare services but also instilled hope, trust, and belongingness among the people.
The Army said, “As always, we stand committed to the welfare of locals and continue to uphold their trust.”
