Police facilitate PCPG meetings in B’la, Sopore

BARAMULLA: In order to bridge the gap between police and public, the Police Community Partnership Group meetings (PCPG) were held in Baramulla and Sopore.
At Police Station Baramulla, the meeting was chaired by DySP Hqrs Baramulla Altaf Ahmad-JKPS accompanied by SHO PS Baramulla. Besides, other officers and officials of Police Station Baramulla were present in the meeting. The meeting was attended by the respected members of the civil lines and old town Baramulla and its adjacent areas.
At Police Station Bijhama, the meeting was chaired by SHO PS Bijhama. Besides, other officers and officials of Police Station Bijhama were present in the meeting. The meeting was attended by the respectables of the Bijhama, Lachipora, Mayan, Noorkhah and its adjacent areas.
At Police Station Panzla, the meeting was chaired by SHO Police Station Panzla Insp. Parveen Kumar and was attended by Sarpanchs, Panchs, Masjid Imams, Traders federations of Panzla and its adjacent areas.
During these meetings, the participants raised various issues of public importance for their immediate redressal. Referring to the issues highlighted by the participants, the chairing officers assured them that the genuine issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities for their immediate redressal besides issues related to Police will be resolved in shortest possible time. The participants were stressed to co-operate with Police in maintaining law and order in the area and in identifying anti-national and anti-social elements who always try to disrupt the peaceful environment.
The participants in these meetings assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely, police said.
