SRINAGAR: ‘Kindness Towards Humanity’ conducted the final match of the cricket tournament at Sumbal, Bangipora Ground in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A total of 24 teams from various schools participated and in the final, Government Higher Secondary Boys and Girls Zaalpora emerged victorious by defeating Government Higher Secondary School Sumbal and Government Higher Secondary School Odina.
There were special personalities who gave their precious time to the event namely. These include former Director Information Farooq Ahmad Renzoo Shah, Mr Muzafar Hussain Maqdoomi, Chairman of Rehmatul Lil Alameen Foundation Sheikh Firdous and other members.
This is our second inning as last year we conducted the first innings, the organizers said, adding that they will conduct such type of events every year and at Sumbal.
Our main motive for conducting these events is to prevent youth from drugs, said Zulfikar Hussain. He reiterated ‘Say no to drugs’ and said he will do everything through his NGO to prevent youth from drugs. “Due to these matches, our youth remain fit and healthy,” he said.
