Uncontrolled dog population has held Srinagar hostage: KTA

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Trade Alliance (KTA) has termed the death of a child in an incident that took place in Batamaloo Srinagar as “extremely heartbreaking”.
President, Kashmir Trade Alliance (KTA) Ajaz Shahdhar questioned how long SMC will compromise the blood of innocent people? “Dogs have established an empire, especially in the valley and in Srinagar in general, and they have made people’s lives miserable,” he said.
Shahdhar said that every person is saddened by the Batamaloo incident in which an eight-year-old boy was the latest target of dogs. He said that children were hesitating away from going to school and their parents were also worried that they wouldn’t come back from schools and Coaching centers.
“Not only the elders, but also the youngsters are now scared of going to mosques and markets,” Shahdhar said that the population of dogs in the city is more than humans, and the Srinagar Municipal Corporation has failed to control their population. He has demanded the administration to immediately take steps to protect the citizens from the wrath of dogs.
