Kashmir’s Horticulture products will get marketing support from Maharashtra govt: Minister Abdul Sattar

Pampore: The fruit growers of Kashmir will be provided marketing facility across different big cities of Maharashtra.
This was stated by minister for agriculture government of Maharashtra, Abdul Sattar after holding a meeting with Director Horticulture Kashmir, Ghulam Rasool Mir and officers at Centre of Excellence (CoE), Zawoora.
Minister of Agriculture for Maharashtra Government reiterated their government’s commitment to provide marketing facilities to agriculture and horticulture produce in different cities of Maharashtra.
During his recent visit to centre of excellence at Zawoora area of Srinagar, the Minister Abdul Sattar Talking to Kashmir Reader said that his visit to Kashmir is aimed at strengthening bilateral exchange of agricultural goods between the two places of the country.
” I collected information about horticulture products of Kashmir like apple, apricot, plum, cherry and others. These are high quality fruits and people in Maharashtra need to be informed about these fruits,” he said, adding that there is huge marketing facility by name of AIMDC which facilitates famers in Maharashtra.
He said that they wish farmers from Kashmir get benefited from the market in Pune, Thane , Mumbai and farmers from Maharashtra send their produce here to Jammu and Kashmir.
He reiterated his government’s commitment to Director Horticulture, Ghulam Rasool that they will provide marketing facility for horticulture products of Kashmir across big cities of Maharashtra.
” The honourable minister of Agriculture inspected cherry in background of centre of excellence which are in ripening stage,” the Director Horticulture Kashmir, Ghulam Rasool said, adding that he was very impressed with cherry and other fruit plants like apple, walnut, peach, plum and peach.
The Director Horticulture Kashmir G R Mir told Kashmir Reader that the Agriculture Minister Maharashtra minister assured him that they will support fruit growers from Kashmir.
