Srinagar: In a remarkable display of talent and skill, students from Delhi Public School Srinagar have achieved outstanding success at the recently concluded MMA National Championship 2023 held in Lucknow from May 18 to May 21. Their commendable performance has not only brought great pride to the school but has also placed the UT of Jammu and Kashmir in the spotlight.
Competing against a formidable field of 500 participants from various states and union territories across India, the students from Delhi Public School Srinagar emerged as shining stars, leaving an indelible mark on the championship. Their relentless dedication and unwavering commitment to excellence resulted in an impressive haul of one Gold, one Silver, and one Bronze medal. Gasiq won gold, Mohammad Fariq won silver and Mohammad Zahir Thakur won bronze in the championship.
The MMA National Championship 2023, a highly anticipated event in the world of martial arts, drew the attention of sports enthusiasts and experts alike. The distinguished presence of Mr. Brijesh Patakh, the Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, as the chief guest added to the prestige of the tournament.
