Well Care Medical Institute conducts mega health camp

‘Free medicines, free investigations; over 500 patients turn up in OPD’

Srinagar: Well Care Medical Institute (WMI), Ahmad Nagar, 90 feet road, Srinagar conducted a free mega health camp OPD on Sunday.
A total of 12 specialists and super-specialists of various branches of medicine provided free consultation in the OPDs. Among the doctors were Dr Subiya Kaneez Consultant, Radiation Oncology, Dr Wajeed Yousuf Gastroenterologist & Hepatologist, Dr Iqra Psychiatrist, Dr Mohammad Hanif, Consultant General Medicine, Dr Arif, Consultant General Surgery, Dr Imtiyaz, Paediatrician, Dr Sheikh Imran, Orthopaedican, Dr Mir Ibrahim Disoki, Diabetologist, Dr Sayadat Khan, Consultant ENT, Dr Shaima Khan Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, Dr Zamir Consultant Nephrologist, and Dr Azhar Khan Urologist.
“In the camp, free blood tests, free ECGs and free X-Rays were done on the advice of consulting doctors. In addition to that, free medicines were also provided,” the institute said in a statement, adding, “More than 500 patients from different parts of the Kashmir Valley visited the mega health camp. The doctors examined and treated the patients with the concerned ailments.”
Dr Masood ul Hassan, Medical Director WMI, said, “Although we have organised various free medical camps previously but organising this type of health camp with more than a dozen specialists and super-specialists was a new experience.”
“Being a part of society, it becomes imperative upon us to hold such camps for our local population,” he said.
Tajamul Islam, administrator and spokesperson of WMI said, “The camp was well organised, taking care of all the minute details and it received an overwhelming response from the public. The doctors have also pledged to continue their OPDs at Well Care Medical Institute in future.”
