Army organises mountain cycling expedition

Srinagar: A mountain cycling expedition by Dhanurdhari Brigade under the aegis of Fire and Fury Corps, consisting of 12 Indian Army personnel undertook a 280 km journey through the tough terrain of Ladakh in a period of four days.
The expedition was flagged off from Hall of Fame, Leh by Commander, Dhanurdhari Brigade on 25 April 2023 and completed its journey at Kargil War Memorial on April 28. The aim of the expedition was to pay tribute to war heroes and celebrate World Safety and Health Day, PRO (Defence) Srinagar said in a statement.
Enroute, the team interacted with veterans and youth of villages, noted the problems faced by veterans and motivated the youth to join Indian Army. The team paid homage to war heroes by paying their tributes in War Memorials at Leh, Nurla, Kargil and Dras.
