Pampore: Education Department zone Pampore organised a Jashan-E-Eid programme at Government Upper Primary School Gujjar Basti Jeewan Sahab Ladhoo village of Pampore Tehsil.
Officials from the education department celebrated Jashan-E-Eid with students and staff members. The event was organised by HOI UPS Jeewen Sahab and zonal President JKTF Pampore Wani Bilal Ahmad on behalf of the staff and students of UPS Jeewen Sahab.
Zonal Education Officer Pampore Abdul Rasheed, Principal Government Higher Secondary Ladhoo Mohammad Ashraf was the special guest on the occasion.
The event was attended by Mohammad Amin Bhat District Secretary JK Teachers Forum Pulwama, HOI UPS Jeewan Sahab Wani Bilal Ahmad, Kuchay Yousuf HOI Litterbal, Bilal Wahab zonal organizer JKTF Prominent teachers and staff of UPS Jeewan Sahab.
The mega event has given the right message to the society that government schools are well established and ready to face any challenge regarding the upliftment of education under New Education Policy NEP 2020, officials told Kashmir Reader.
The main and joyful event was a Tug-of-War between the teams of ZEO Pampore and the Principal of the Government Higher Secondary Ladhoo also held on the premises of the school.
Several activities and cultural programmes were performed by the students of UPS Jeewan Sahab during the event.
ZEO, Pampore Abdul Rasheed, Principal Government Higher Secondary School Ladhoo Mohammad Ashraf and JKTF district Secretary Mohammad Amin spoke on the occasion.
They lauded UPS Jeewan Sahab Teachers for their hard work and dedication towards their profession and their sincere and caring attitude towards the students of the school.
Talking to Kashmir Reader, ZEO Pampore said that the Jashan-E-Eid programme was organised at a place where most of the students belong to the ST community.
“It has been observed that students at this very institution do not attend school regularly,” he said adding that the programme was set so that the students feel at ease and motivate them to attend school regularly.
He told Kashmir Reader that the Department of Education did not want these backward areas to remain backward in education but to excel and compete with other communities at par.
“We shared meals with the students who were delighted to have such a great experience where everyone was equal and enjoying the festive moments gleefully,” he said.
