CRPF officials, jawans celebrate Baisakhi at CTC Lethpora

PAMPORE: Baisakhi was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety across J&K on Friday. In this connection, a grand function was organised at the Commanding Training Center in the Lethpora area of Pampore Tehsil in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, where Shabad Kirthan and special prayers were organized.
A Shbad path and kirtan were organised by the team who came all along from Amritsar Punjab.
IG CRPF M S Bhatia, who was the Chief guest on the occasion, highlighted the importance of the day. He emphasised the importance of the day. The personnel of RTC, 185 Battalion and trainees participated in the programme. The Ardas was followed by the distribution of Prasad and Guru Ka Langer.
Alok Awasthi, DIG Anantanag, Rajesh Kumar, Principal RTC, Suraj Pal Verma, Vice Principal RTC, Arun Bharti, Commandant 185 Battalion, Yogesh Purohit, Commandant 110 Battalion other officers and a good number of CRPF jawans remained present during the function.
Rimmi Bhatia, wife of DIG CRPF M S Bhatia, also graced the occasion with her presence. She extended good wishes to all Force personnel and family members.
“Our forces have a tradition of celebrating every festival of our country. Today, we celebrate the festival of Baishakhi here,” IG CRPF said while greeting people on the occasion.
He said that special prayers were held for peace, prosperity and progress for the people of Jammu & Kashmir. “We also prayed for martyr jawans, their families and those who are serving the forces right now,” he said.
