Body of Kulgam PhD scholar who died in Bangalore reaches home

PAMPORE: The body of a Kulgam PhD scholar, who died due to a heart attack in Bangalore, reached his native village on Tuesday evening.
Shabir Ahmad Wani, son of Mohammad Ameen, a resident of Chansar, Kulgam, died on Saturday in Mysore, Bangalore where he was pursuing PhD in Chemistry.
The family members of the deceased told Kashmir Reader that Shabir died due to a heart attack in his room and his body reached home after three days. We received information from Mysore police, they said.
On Monday, after Shabir’s postmortem was conducted, the family was allowed to take his body to J&K from Bangalore. Three family members had reached Mysore to bring back the body.
The deceased scholar was awaiting results and was scheduled to visit home this month, Javaid Ahmad Bhat, a relative, told Kashmir Reader.
He said the body reached Sheikh-ul-Alam International Airport in Srinagar on Tuesday afternoon and it was immediately taken in an ambulance arranged by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Bilal Mohi-ud-din Bhat.
A pall of gloom descended upon the Chansar village of Kulgam as the body of Shabir reached home. A large number of people participated in his Nimaz-e-Jinaza on Tuesday evening which was held in his native village.
