Hajin: Senior leader and Incharge Sonawari Constituency of National Conference Hilal Akbar Lone on Wednesday said that the party will field candidates on all 13 wards in civic bodies in upcoming Urban Local Bodies elections in the Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function here, Hilal said that the National Conference had decided to field candidates on all wards in civic bodies in the Urban Local Bodies elections in Municipal Committee Hajin.
“Yes I assure you that this chairman will be from National Conference as we will win at least 7 seats in civic polls,” he said.
Hilal was addressing party workers in Hajin and urged the people of the town to vote for change in the Municipal Committee Hajin elections whenever they will be held.
“I appeal to people to come out of their homes and vote,” he said, adding people should vote for change as this is the only weapon by which we can defeat those who are ruling the Municipal Committee Hajin for the last 15 years.
“We are taking civic polls seriously this time and we will able to register our presence in MCH,” he added.
“We are conducting meetings as the party looks to strengthen its presence in Hajin for civic polls, “Hilal said.
